Joe Detore had an all black one named "East Coast Marine" He and Joe Imprescia raced it for a season or two before Joe D purchased his Shadow Cat. My Brother Philip and I Spent a lot of time chasing it in race after race, very fast in rough water. No one ever actually knew what power it had from race to race, Joe Imprescia was both throttle man, rigger, and engine builder.
I also seem to remember a triple engine outboard 27 raced for a while. By the way, "Air Ride" was owned and raced by Alan Swiman and his wife often raced in the boat with him if I recall. Air Ride may have been Detore's boat, not too sure about that though. Double Vision Racing |
