Default Rebirth Of Powerboat History 28’ & 30’

We are excited to announce that we have acquired a piece of powerboat history. We got our hands on a mold built using a 29’ Mirage from Cortes as a plug and stretched to 33’. It was built by a gentleman “Pedro Repoli” no longer around that worked for magnum, cigarette and midnight express. The mold has been sitting for over 20 years upside down until we found her. We are currently getting her cleaned up and polished up along with making a few improvements to her. We plan on building a 28’ & 30’ models with euro transom laid out as center consoles but we can build to suit or sell hull as kit to be finished elsewhere. If you have any questions please dm us or follow us at VidaMar Boats on Instagram. I will be posting pics as we progress thank you for viewing

Why don't you just bring back the 9m SS that it started as? Who needs a 28'?

EDT thanks for the feed back the 30’ model is going to be similar to the 29’ as I believe that the centerline measurement was just shy of 30’ so we are going to make it 30’ and wanted to make a smaller one 28’ for those individuals that may want or can’t afford the bigger model. We are also thinking of building a 32’. They will all be great including the 28’ bc of the 8.6’ beam on her. That’s our thinking always

So it has been widened 6"? Sounds like there isn't much of the Mirage 9mss left.

EDT & Thriller a lot of the boat is staying on the mirage. Yes it was widthed 6” and stretched 4’ but the freeboard is the same and the strakes where not changed, plus all change is not bad. Look at the 30’ velocity I have been told that it is a copy of the 29’ mirage that a pad was added to it. I agree with you that it has been altered a bit but the the altercations I think will improve a already great boat. With that said I respect your opinions!
