1972 28ft cigarette for sale
 

the auction site ( Bring a trailer) has a no reserve on a 1972 28ft cigarette that was owned by Mark Donahue, very nicely restored! just getting the word out if anyone is looking for one.

I saw it sell at Russo Steele auction in Monterey in August..sold for $18k..was surprised it went that high.

Looks like it went for $17.5k today. Drives looked like the weak link...someone didn't make any $ flipping that one..

The 1978 was last listed for $55k at Grand Sport Center, IL. Lots of nice upgrades on a boat in Bristol condition, but the aestetic choices unfortunately gives the boat a late '90s look. Personally I would have loved to do the ex. Mark 'Captain Nice' Donohue 1972 boat. A period correct restoration of her, yeah the only drug necessary for that is being boat crazy and of course an open checkbook would help. Now, gotta find that checkbook my wife doesn't know about and I'm afraid to open it up.
