Default 2021 get together Lake Ontario/ thousand islands region

Any interest in guys getting together this coming summer for a weekend of boating and fun in our classics? The regular poker run circuit around this area is not conducive if you don’t have a 300k plus ride. Would be a blast to get a bunch of boats together. I am willing to organize an event if there is real interest.

i have been thinking an "old school only" poker run in the thousand islands area would be a good thing

I know there are at least 4-5 pre 1990 boats in my area. If there was a gathering of at least 10 that would make for an awesome time... although I’d love to go out with even 1 old school ride...

Default Thousand Islands Poker Run

We’d be interested. We have a 1993 Cigarette Top Gun.

Default Qualifiers??

So if you have a 2008 that has motors not made any longer does that qualify.... as for speed. I like slow. Saves fuel... if you had a group like this I bet they would get together a lot. Especially on big event weekends when everyone is feeling left out.....

I don’t want to leave people out because boating with others is fun . I have no problem with a newer boat joining in. I just feel there are a lot of us with the older boats that feel like there is no point in joining the regular runs as they are dominated with high dollar high speed boats. And let’s be honest... it’s a different mentality and interaction when you are with a similar group of boats vs the ultra high performance one. I hope that clarifies what I’m hoping to accomplish

We had a bunch of boats that had a run for years. We had a powerboat club as well great times. Might be tough with the border situation now, however we could get some people together for sure. There were all types of boats and levels of performance . It would be nice to have a run again sometime.
