I had a 1989 Pachanga 27 with twin Bravos. It was an Australian delivery and Australia always received the new offerings from Mercury a little later than in the U.S.
I think cheech is correct, the previous owner didn’t know the difference. A 30 year old boat, I’ll bet he wasn’t the first owner so a simple mistake, and it’s in your favor! Enjoy your Pachanga, great boats :) RR |
Thanks again!
Trying to find more information on the Pachanga ... So yes, this boat came with the original title which indicates it was built in 1986 and is a 1987 model year. I read the Bravo drive came along in 1988 ... The 454 Magnum engine was rated at 330hp with an Alpha drive behind it. In 1988 The Magnum got a horsepower increase and the Bravo. Anyone else able to confirm? So I'm left wondering how my boat came to be ... Anyone know what ratio came with the 454/Bravo combo? |
It would be 1.5:1

Your original post stated the pachanga was an '88?
What is the last numbers of the HIN ? 86 or 88? |

What is the last numbers of the HIN ? 86 or 88? Last two digits of the HIN are "87" --- Title indicates: "Year Built: 1986" -- "Model Year 1987" ... sorry for the misinformation |
I’d say someone blew up their Alpha more than once and converted it to a Bravo boat.
That’s good news, saves you doing it! RR |
