Aluminium Off Shore Boat Identification
 

Hello I am new here. I purchased this all aluminum 30' hull from someone who was owed money by the previous owner. He didn't know much about it other than it was one of two made and it was made in Santa Monica, Ca. It was never registered or rigged just primed and has been in storage for probably over 30 years. It was built for a surface drive I believe. I have some experience with vintage aluminum outboard boats but nothing like this. If it is truly a manufactured boat it should have a HIN some where on it, possibly upper right side of the transom, if home made probably not

I do not think it was a production boat. It has a blank vin hull plate no vin # and has never been registered the Quality of the build is good looks like built by somebody professional. Does not even have hole for outdrive unit.

And with no lifting strakes not sure how it will handle ?

Cool boat , stringers set up for a single engine as is the hatch . The matching walk-in jacuzzi’s in the bow are an added luxury

Those are jacuzzis ? I thought that was were batman and Robin hung out or maybe just giant beer holders. This thing is crazy and who knows how old it is. How would I figure out if it will even work before putting an engine in it? someone spent a lot of time making it.

does it have chines at the edge where the sides meet ? Without strakes on the bottom it’s going to be a slippery one in the turns.

The bigger problem will be a lack of lift for the hull. That thing is going to be pasted to the water.
