Your looking at the new Concept 30 performance sport deck with twin 300xs's Merc Racing Opti's with an all new step bottom hull design for 2009. This is to be Concepts top end speed leader.
But every size center console Concept boats offers with many engine combination packages to get the necessary performance your looking to achieve.

So,, how fast is the "new" 30 speed demon !!! I know how fast the old one is -------81mph in perfect condition's . :evilb::angry-smiley-038:

302Sport 10-15-2008 08:37 PM

Don hultz from WA. State had a 36 that he rigged with tripple 300x and he said it hit 81mph.

My Buddy owns that boat. He bought it from Mr Holtz. The boat runs 82 mph

Thats Right! The one with the triples Mr.Holtz had did those numbers.

NOMOGOFAST 10-21-2008 11:48 AM

fastest

Nomo here, mine has twin 275's, bought it from Holtz as well. Almost bought the triple boat he had but changed my mind at the last minute.

The fastest Concepts that were ever built? Thats easy. It was the little Action marine boats they built for years and years in the beginning and sold in the Boat Trader. By far the fastest. DennyB didn't even know about those.

I knew about those hulls but didn't know the speeds with what engines.That was before my time with Concept.Very cool!

zero to broke in 5.4 OSO seconds LOL

With tripple 300xs how does the boat handle. I have quite a few friends that have them and am looking into getting one. I love the idea of tripple's motors but was told I may be wasting my money with buying another motor.

DENNYB 01-06-2009 08:31 AM

The triple Mercury 300 Xs's work very well on the 36 Concept. The engines are lighter than the Verados by at least 100 lbs per outboard.You will achieve the top end speed in the neighborhood of 75-80 depending on a number of passengers people, equipment, fuel along with water and wind conditions may affect the speed.It will get you there.Handling is totally awesome.You would not be wasting money on the triple 300xs package.

Wouldn't the 350 Verados be better, they have the better gear case and 150 more hp should make up the # plus 100 # less without all the mix oil onboard ?

Great thinking! We have not tried the Mercury 350 Verado set up yet.I hope we will soon.

boating37 01-06-2009 09:09 PM

To heavy for the boat, 300 verados are to heavy the 350's are even heavyer, not by much but the are like 30lbs.

marylandmark 01-07-2009 05:10 PM

300XS 517lbs
300V 635lbs
350V 667lbs

I'm guessing for a 36 Concept trip:

300XS = 78-80MPH
300V = 77-79MPH
350V = 83-85MPH
