30 toe adjustment?

I have an 08 30 pf step hull with opti but for some sort of reason the toe adjustment kn my boat seems way off and has now caused me to loose speed. Anybody what the measurement on the tie bar should be screw to screw or front nose cone thanks

It depends if your props are spinning in or out.
If spinning out ( the top of the propeller blades turn to the outside ) the front of the drives should be at least 1/8 to 1/4 inch further apart than the distance between the prop shafts.
Reverse for turning in.
When you go too far you will start to lose performance.

i spin them outward. Never tried spinning them in . I do not know if it makes a difference on this set up. I went from 225 to 250 and lost speed go figure but i see one engine is more out then the other

I tried the loose tie bar method and that was worse dropped almost 5 mph

Pretty sure all Concepts come from the factory spinning out. Everything else is the same? Props, gear ratio, RPMs? What speed are you seeing?

57-59 mph trimmed with 250xs

I'd call Concept and ask them how they set them up. Your speed does sound low. I rode on a non-step 30 with 225's and it ran a little over 60. What hole do you have the motors mounted in? Mine came with the motors in the 4th hole, but I had them lowered to the 3rd due to water pressure issues. It didn't seem to effect the speed.

I was running 62-64 with the regular 225 opti with the same props. Mirage + 25p Depending on load . And now im slower with 250 pro xs i cant even get to 60 . So i know something is definetly off. Its the same engine height.

Any updates
What year are the 250pro xs and which lower units are u using

I have been looking for the answer to the same question also for my 30 concept. the conclusion I came to is to set them straight (same distance between tips of the nosecone and the propshafts.

it seems there are an equal number of votes for toe in vs tow out. reasoning for in being that the water coming off the V is coming at that direction or toe them out because the props (spinning out) will pull the prop away from one another causing the toe to move in to straight.

It seems we are all over thinking it and those that have tried and tested it have not seen any results until going to extremes that only negatively affected performance.
