Mach 26 vs. F26
Hey guy, what is the difference between a Mach 26 vs F-26? I don't know anything about these boats, but the quality of the rigging looks amazing, is this the case. How do these cats run compared to a 26-28' deep V thats what I'm use to. I've never even ridden in a cat but they look very appealing. I've talked to several insurance companies and as long as the cat is over 26' with a single and runs under 90MPH the insurance isn't to bad. What do you think of this boat http://www.powerboatlistings.com/view/12515

Mach 26 older style. F26 has canopies. It's the current model. They ride and handle better than a deep V.
You'll love it. |
Is There any difference in the hull ? Or did they just update the deck?
thanks |
Just the deck was changed for the F26

Based on canopies alone, I'd much rather have an F26, keeps the wind out of your eyes..And looks much cleaner.

Not sure your speaking from experience. We had a Ultra 26 shadow which is very close to mach 26. We now have a DCB f30 so we've had with and without canopies. There are pros and cons to both canopies and no canopies. If your really worried about wind on the Mach, just add the dana electric windscreen. Worked wonders for us on the Ultra and you could put it down with flip of the switch and cruise around at slower speeds and feel the wind on your face. My wife really like that. It really goes to what fits your style of boating. |
