West System Compatibility

I filled holes where my old battery box was at using West System. What would be the best paint or whatever that is compatible with West System to cover the holes and the tray(the tray is built into the bilge) where the new battery box will sit? The boat is a 2000 Fountain.

Looks like anything except polyester gel would work.
