My boat had a walkaround on it that has the 4 sided triangles that are raised... It gets very dirty in between them and is hard to clean... What would you suggest as a product and how to apply to help with this

Powerwasher... seriously... it takes the black out easily... do not apply the polish to the grip area...

I just went through this. Star Brite non-skid deck cleaner with PTFE. The PTFE is Teflon. It cleans, leaves it sticky for traction but the Teflon protects it from collecting dirt. A good stiff brush and this is all you need. Should be able to find it anywhere. West Marine, local marine hardware store, etc....

Will the Star Brite product affect the leverage polished area when it is washed off and goes down the sides?

Just ordered The leverage wool pad, adapter plate, OR, and polish...and paid $50 to have her overnighted...gonna be a goood weekend ;) I would really like to hear from Donnie on the walkaround. I cant beleive there isn;t something that I can put down in between the grips to help keep it clean. It really drives me nuts all summer long.

Don't know. I have always subscribed to washing from topside first. So a top-down approach, for that reason. Wash all the junk that came off the deck off that might have stuck.

I usually wash top down also but was afraid the chemicals washing down over the sides would deteriorate the polish previously applied

Sorry for the late reply. Neck deep in boats right now.

Since the crevases between the triangles aren't really for traction then spray the polish inside them and leave it alone. Using a pressure washer to get them clean before hand is a great way to go. I use ours everyday to get into every nook.

I can't speak for Starbrite's soap because I've never tested with it before. My soap is extremely mild when it comes to additives, so I know it won't streak or remove. A good rule to follow is more suds means more additives and more striping. Also, take whatever is recommend for washing and cut the mixture in half. Since you're not in salt it only takes a minimal amount of soap to do the job. I still do everything here with water and a towel only, but then they've also been polished by me.

Hope the weekend is going great!!!

Am I the only one that can't get the sprayer that comes with the wax to last the whole bottle?

Love the wax, hate the sprayer.

Love the wax, hate the sprayer.

I have the same problem or might I say I use to. That was the biggest tube that I could get for the sprayer. Every once in awhile the tube will pick up too much sediment when not shaken constantly. Hit the bottom of the bottle a few times and it should clear it up.

I've fixed the clogging problem for the future now. I've concentrated the sediment even more, so no more clogging tubes/sprayers. Cases are being shipped as we speak. A hair darker blue with very minimal sediment.

Thanks for the input!
