Go with an ablative paint which means it chalks off as you run and is self cleaning .Put 4-5 coats on the running areas that are in the water while you are up on plane if you want to make it through the season.

Pettit Vivid is the best paint for trailerable boats peroid. None are going to be shiny though.

Yes, and they are going to be about as bright & shinny as you are going to get. Unless you use a topside paint, but then you wont have any antifouling protection.. ;) Jamie
