Advice needed with repair

Well I was preparing a corner in my boat to re-glue a portion of the carpet that had come up when I noticed that the fiberglass cloth holding the deck to the hull was beginning to separate. I pealed of a section to get a better look and decided it was time to repair the area. Please look at the pics below and give me your thoughts.

I am pretty confident I can make this repair but wanted to get some advice.

How should I prep/clean the area?

Can I use fiberglass tape or what material should I use? (please be specific on ounce and type)

After preparing, can I just wet it out with standard epoxy and hardener or do I need to add anything else.

Thanks for the help.

Get a vacuum

and grind the old glass off. Make sure it is dry. Cut up some sqaures of material,if what we see failed then you need to go thicker. two layers of 1.5 oz mat and a layer of 10 oz triaxle or a layer of 18 oz roving.

Not to thick and cure it mild, no hot spots.

Can I just go with some 18oz woven roving?
