What do you guy's think about using this stuff to paint an outdrive? :party-smiley-004:

I spilled some on my outdrive when painting the bilge and that chit will not come off. I put 14 hours on the Apache over the summer, each time the boat sat in the water for 1-3 days. The spill is still there. It got me thinking.......what if:evilb:

Any comparisons between awlgrip and an interlux solution (2000e/2001 followed by vc performance epoxy)

Good thread---enjoyed the reading with all the different bilge paint products out there, etc....and sounds like there are some decent ones. I was initally thinking more along the lines of either Imron or Awlgrip for my bilge. I think I am going to give the Awlgrip a go and apply it with the Badger hair brush for my bilge because it sounds like it has the edge over at least Imron.

I am still learning about all of this, but I was told Imron can blister when in contact with water. I am sure there may be some PROS & CONS about each product, but from my research I have found that Awlgrip does not stain, blister, or yellow and just sounds to be very durable.

they make several different kinds of paint. plus they make specific paints for bilges.

This has me thinking as well, has anyone done their drives with the Awlgrip product? What about primers etc.?
