engine compartment
I am redoing my engine compartment and I want it butt smooth and shiny. Would bondo or high paint buildup be best or another way. What products are the best:
Sand, sand, sand and sand some more. No bondo, if you need to fill in between the biax strands mix some low density filler to a paste with some resin. Then sand some more :D
if you need to do a lot of fairing get some Duratec VE Primer. Builds well and sands easy to. The only way to get a smooth finish is with lots of prep. With the VE primer you can top coat it with gel coat and Duratecs gloss additive. It really all depends on how smooth you want the final finish.
