Buffing out interior vinyl
 

I have a friend who had a details shop buff out his white interior. Has anyone ever heard of this? I have some ground in dirt on my white vinyl that I woulkd like to get removed. I hate to re-upholster when aside from the grime, the vinyl is in good condition. From his explanation it sounds like they used some sort of a compound and a machine buffer.

That will make it dirtier faster and remove the finish. Just use a Magic Eraser and some vinyl cleaner.

I agree,, try the magic eraser - - their freakin magic !

I got it maybe 70% clean with the magic eraser but I didn't try it with a seperate cleaner. You guys are telling me it works alot better with an additional cleaner. I will try that. I will also try to get the leverage product when I get a chance. Thanks!

The main thing is to nuetralize any acidic or products that contain bleach. Basically use the Magic erasor and the Leverage cleaner and Leverage scrubber.. to get deep into pours of the grain of the material. Get it to foam up by rubbing back and forth with the Leverage cleaner as the lubricant. The scrubby and the erasor work back and forth. Let it sit out or do it in the sun. After a few hours wash with water, liberally. Do the same process over with Leverage scrubby and cleaner. Then use the conditoner. The thread explains it well. Thanks. I just sent my boat to Missouri to relocate the motors but when I get it back I will follow the recommendations.
