I use a Makita almost every day. I have never had a problem with it! my mother has been using makita buffers for a long time now, she has dropped one in the water and picked it out days later, let it dry, and it still ran for years until it ran into a chord problem which was quickly fixed. i wouldnt bother with another brand.

side note my makitas name is 'jimmy buffer' because personality matters!

prob make the job got faster,let us know how it works,looks bulky.I wonder if its easy for the edge of the drum to hit the paint if you acidently tilt it?

Its got some pretty good soft rubber protection around the drum but it does take some getting use to. The biggest brob i have with it is the the direction of the spin in relation to how you have to hold it. If drum was 90 to where its at right now it would be easier to use while standing next to a boat deck on a scaffold.
