Wheeling Questions, First Time
 

I decided to wheel the boat out myself this year, doesnt seem to be that difficult so far. My biggest question is how much compound do you use? I havent been putting a ton on, but after wheeling it out there seems to be a lot left that I have to wipe off. And it seems I have to let it dry and wipe several times to get it all gone. Humidity today isnt helping im sure, but getting tired of wiping, then looking back and seeing more dried compound, wiping again etc. Finished product looks good though. Using FOY Totally Buff, like it so far, even cuts good working by hand in the tight/small spaces, and removes transom soot and stains like nobodys business. Also, is it easier to wash between wheeling and waxing to get all the compound off, or just keep rubbing and wiping.

Thats all i use anymore, totally buff. I dont actually use a whole lot while wheeling either. I usually take one quick splash of compound in the area and start with the buffer slow then work up the speed. When i get done in one area the compound is pretty much all gone with very little clean up. It takes a while to develop the technique but you'll get it. If you start slow then ramp up the speed the compound will break down and turn into kind of a self cleaning product. I was told by Kevin, the companies owner, that it was designed as a diminishing compound meaning that it breaks down while using it to a finer product. Cool stuff, works great
