Porters usually have a taco or bag of rice tossed in the box. I can buy that crap by the truck loads at homo depot. You go on Ebay and there is a 100s pages of the crap dumped on the websiite just waiting for you to shut down some more plants in the US.
It to the point you have to buy a 30 or 40 year old tools just so you can put an AMERICAN MADE tool in your tool box.
Litterly that is what I have result to so I can put an American made tool in my tool box. If you get a 30 year old porter cable tool it might be made in America but after that your shooting craps. There will usually be rice patty hats and bowls of rice on the assembly line or tacos or tequila.

Sorry for ratin a ravin but millions of my American brothers and sisters are out in the streets starving with out a job while these greedy bastards line there pockets with billions in profits from this cheap labor.:bsflag:

Hi, Porter Cable is an American company, and has been since 1906. They run one of the highest rated manufacturing plants in the US. In fact your "Snap On" aka Dewalt rotary tool is made by the same company. :flag:

Never said anything bad about you ok? I would prefer a Snap On buffer that is great you have American Made tools on your box that means they you support American workers. I am proud of you. There is a choice and you chose American made tools.

This vent was not towards you. If I came across that way then I apologize. But I know for a fact that all of Porter cable tools are made either in china or mexico. If dont belive me go to any tool shop pick it and look at the country of origin. I am like you I want American made tools If I cant find them then I dont buy them.

Porter Cable tools used to be made right here in American but that has been a long time ago, Pick up a compressor china or mexico pick up a power tool china or mexico dont take my word for it Sir go down to your tool supply and see for your self.
Again the vent was not meant towards you Sir.
I am really upset what is going on in this country and all of the Americans that are out of work.

Again if you felt I was tart towards you that was no my entention. Again accept my apology. :drink:

I'm with ya Badass Scarab...I have a business that is tied to manufacturing here in the US (actually almost everybodies biz is tied to mfg in the US!) When I purchase a good, I want the added value advantage of utilizing our own resources and labor which sends incalcuable economic waves and ripples throughout our economy. Ponder for just a moment the $$$ impact of just mining iron ore, just one component of making steel...well before it even is made into a final sold product; think of what goes into a mining operation; the tools, the coveyors, the logistics of moving product to the railhead. Think of all the added value steps that come after the mining operation, and all of the economic multipliers, and it becomes mind boggling, does't it?
Friends, if you can't see this, then open your eyes and look around at our country in its present state. Look at the demographic change of a large chunk of the white middle class...many of these meth users come from generations of working people and now have become part of the roughly 1/2 of non-payers (taxes). Don't listen to these elites who's theoretical ramblings about a "higher economy" is the way to go...not every working class guy is going to operate a CNC machine tool. Many MFG jobs have been transitional, in other words, those jobs are only worked for a part of your life until something better comes along. So why are so many MFG jobs treated like a life time proffession? I'm not anti union, but not every non skilled job has to be be rife with pay and benifits when most of the workers are better off moving on at some point. This and the corporate tax rate is what is killing manufacturing in our country. In the meantime, demand Ameican goods when possible. Take Care All, Dave

That is why is refuse to shop at WalMart, Target and similar stores. Most of my friends think I am nuts but they refuse to see the big picture.

HERES A SCARY THOUGHT:
IF CHINA SHUT DOWN ALL EXPORTS TO THE US IT WOULD DESTORY AMERICA. ALL THE TRANISTORS ELECTRONICS THE MILITARY WOULD SHUT DOWN NEEDING ELECTRONICS FOR GUIDENCE SYSTEMS FOR AIRCRAFT ETC. BECAUSE OF CORPORATE GREED WE DEPEND MORE ON IMPORTS THAN EVER TOOLS , CLOTHING, MOST ALL DURABLE GOODS ARE IMPORTED NOW DAYS!
10 YEARS AGO THEY SAID AT THE RATE CHINA IS BUILDING THERE MILITARY THEY WILL SURPASS RUSSIAS MILITARY STRENGTH IN TWO YEARS! WITH ALL THE BILLIONS IN PROFITS CHINA IS MAKING I WANT TO KNOW WHY THE U.S. IS HELPING BUILD CHINAS MILITARY?
WE HAVE OUR TROOPS STATIONED ALL OVER THE WORLD WE HAVE OUR BUTTS OUT IN THE BREEZE JUST WAITING FOR CHINA TO BLOW IT OFF!
IN THE 1960'S DID YOU KNOW THAT THE US PROVIDED 65% OF ALL DURABLE GOODS IN THE WORLD?
SO THE NEXT TIME YOU BUY THE CHINA CRAP, CHINA'S MILITARY THANKS YOU FOR ANOTHER NUKE FOR THERE STOCK PILE!

Thanks for the support Dave for my blog :} Roger

I am not 100% sure but from what I have seen all Porter Cable tools are 100% made in china some may be made in mexico. They used to be American made but that has been along time ago. Go to your local tool store and check it out or go on line and send customer service an email.

I will bet bottom dollar those plants that where here in the US are long gone and the Americans that worked there are out in the street without a job with out a house and with out a car and with out any hope what so ever about the future of America.

Dewalt is another one that decided to stab us in the back! All there crap is either china or mex. I had an old 7.3 Cordless American made I bought back in the late 90s that drill freekin kicked butt for no more voltage and amps it had.

It refreshing to see there are people out there like me that truely care about Americans and American jobs! I meet so many people now days that just don't give a s##t if there buddy has a job accross the street no sweat off my balls doesn't effect me. Well wake up you dumb ass if your buddy is out of job it wont be long before you out of job.

Question guys I went and looked for a New Snap On Buffer and the only thing I found was a Blue Point imported. Did Snap On shut that plant down also?

Thanks for the pos imput guys!:evilb:
