38 scarab Hull material questions

The boat is an old '85 38 flatdeck. The deck apears to have a foam core, that is flexing causing the topside(deck) to stress crack, alot. Is there anything that i can do to stop or fix the problem. Also, Just wondering if anyone can tell me what fiber material my hull is. I do not know how to post pics on here but I attached a link my Facebook that shows pics of the foam section and a few shots of the hull material.
Thank you,
Steve

looks like you could have some Kevlar in that layup. Its most likely a polyester boat and unfortunatly those two combos make for a pretty flexable structure thats prone to surface stress. Kevlar has great tensile properties but a poor ability to handle a compressive load. Not really a lot you can do about it short of bagging a whole new surface on. Its quite common in older wet layed Kevlar up boats. Are the stress cracks individual cracks around edges and corners or multiple waves/fields of cracks?

nice lookin ride! Bad azz with the Arnesons

there are individual stress cracks around the deck hatches and up and down the center railing, but the two areas I am more concerned with are waves/fields of cracks at each corner at the base of the windshield. as far as the Kevlar, the whole hull it that material, except for the stringers. I keep looking at the one that is for sale in the classified section with arnesons on it too, and I cannot wait to get mine running! Thanks for the help Dave.
