Transom advice
 

Heres the deal. I'm replacing a cored transom with ply. The sides and bottom are cored to the transom glass. My question is whether to grind out the side/bottom coring and put the ply to the bottom and sides, then recore up to it or run it on top of the coring. Finished transom thickness was 2" exact.
