transom replace

Getting ready to put the plywood back in the transom on our stinger.Thinking of this stuff to bond the plywood to the outer fiberglass of the transom. Thought this stuff might not run out the bottom before I get it all clamped up. Any thoughts any body ever use it. West Systems Six10 Thickened epoxy adhesive. Thanks JOHN SR

Are you planning a full epoxy transom? For what its worth you would be better off with CoreBond or something like that if you are looking for something trowlable. Looks to me like ya'd need a whole bunch of those tubes

DAVE! Yes I will be useing west system and cloth as I did on the stringers ect.Just thought if I tried to brush or roll on the west systems to the inner glass of the transom then on to the plywood by the time I got it in place most would run to the bottom.I want to make sure it all bonds.I will then Epoxy and cloth. Is this what you mean by full epoxy transom JOHN SR

Yea John, i couldnt remember if you were doing the whole repair in an epoxy system. You might check with Cass Polymers and see if they have an Adtech product that will work for bedding that in.
