When boating your supposed to stop AT the beach, not go over it to the picnick tables.....

looking at the pics thats a fair amount of work. the numbers on the high end of it but not far off. if I was writing that for insurance I would be somewhere around thirty to thirtyfive hours and would breakdown something like this
35 hrs @ $95/hr - 3325.00 materials 35 × $16 - 560.00 (if boat was trailered in) r&r and shoring - 800.00 sales tax - 337.00 when I first read it I thought it was 18 inches by 16 inches. I'm sure it could be done for less but not a whole lot. the steps make it a bit of a pain. there a couple ways to approach a repair like this, some more in volved then others. I generally like to establish a budget then explore the best options when dealing with repairs like this outside insurance. |
Thanks Dave, I guess I feel somewhat better.

hard to guage depth, but couldnt try some gel coat restorer with a buffer and see if you could smoth some of it out. Might be a stretch as I dont know the depth. But I know between the restorer and wax and I have been able to buff out some descent scratches.
Doesnt look to be structural I guess it depends on how bad you want it fixed. |
Check with your insurance co. Suprisign what you can get them to pay for sometimes. imo
