Cigarette Bullet Deck
 

I have a flat deck rail that runs down the center of the boat that is not currently through bolted, I would like to install a 1x6 wood wrapped in vinyl with a piece of 16ga. stainless steel in the cabin and through bolt it from the deck rail mounting points. Would doing this cause any ill affects such as cracking? I would think it would make the deck more rigid, or am I over thinking this? Thanks

The bow rail has those little spaces that are threaded that's how mine is and that is threaded u to the deck I think u would have to drill those out
