Help

I saw that my bow rail came loose on Saturday. I thought it was simply losing a screw. When I went to put in a new screw the plug came right out. How should I react fix the plug into the boat as it will simply slide in and out right now

Not sure how to upload photo w my phone

does the hole go all the way thru?? If not tape the surface to keep it clean and try injecting a little bit of slightly thickened epoxy into it with a syringe

Well it doesn't have a bottom per say but I'm sure I could plug the bottom. So what type of epoxy should I use

What ever kind any of the guys up there have that will give you a squirt. kind of senseless to buy resin, hardener and filler plus pumps for that

3M makes some nice syringe injected epoxy with mixing tips, really easy to use, any autobody supply place should have it, or o'reilly can order it.

and I read if I want to keep epoxy out of the inner threads to put car wax in the hole. Sound right?

Plenty of 2 part epoxy products available from Big Box home centers also

so the little plug on the left was screwed into the deck then the rail screw threaded into that?

if you are going to epoxy it you really should use a filled epoxy. West Systems 404 is a great high density filler and it can be used with any of those two part ready mix syringes. Pm me an address and I'll send you a small film canister of it, you can only buy it in big tubs no point in buying a whole one
