My VR 1 has a lexan windshield. Some of the screws that attach it are loose and will not tighten. What is everyone's experience in fixing this?

Thanks,

Padraig

Are they still visible when you have the windscreen installed and a screw in the hole?
If not, I would try some Marine Tex packed in the hole, and then redrill/tap with a self tapping screw of the same size of SS you want for permanent install.

If that doesn't work, you will have to go to dowels, resin, re-gelcoat, and then redrill & tap.

You may try adding some bigger finishing washers with oval or flat head screws to hide some of the 'ugly' area around the screw holes.

Marine Tex is white. If there is any white showing after you fill in the holes, you could easily touch up with a Paint Pen before you reinstall the windscreen.
