Drive On Trailer
I Need To Transform A Float On Trailer To A Drive On - 26' Boat, 31' Trailer - Only One Set Of Vertical 10' Bunks - No Other Guides Or Markers
|
Not sure we understand your question, can you elaborate as to why you can't drive onto your trailer? Both bunk(yours) and rollers are made to drive on.
Only thing I can think of that your trailer sounds like it doesn't have is a small set of pivoting bunks up under the lowest point of your bow. To assure it goes straight into the bow stop/winch combo.... which I'm not sure if you have or not.... Two large bunks in the back is all you need in the back which should be placed on the flat surface of your hull, basically keep it off the hull strakes. Again, post a little more info describing why you can't drive it on the trailer so we might be able to come up with better suggestions for you.... |
I had a 31 and now a 38 with the same set of bunks your describing......I added a forward set of bunks to guide the bow up to the winch stop and I drive both boats right up on the trailer.

Sounds like you need the front centering bunks. Easy enough to mount if you have the crossmember(s). I think the wood is just pressure treated, or you can probably buy everything you need from any of the online trailer supply houses.
Too bad you're in OK, I don't use my rear bunks. |

I added the forward bunks to one of my trailers.....you'll need a couple 5-6 ft salt treated 2 x 6's and some black outdoor carpet (try to match what's already on your trailer). Go to a trailer supply store and buy what mounting hardware and cross members you'll need......this is custom and will need to be figured out based on what your working with...jsut copy the beams and mounts from the ones already on your trailer.
