Anybody Making trim tabs for bennett replacment

Looking for someone who has made K-plane style trim tabs that replaced there bennett tabs. Looking for something similar to the martini tabs, direct replacement, something solid that will handle waves and speed.. I have seen a few that some have built, just not sure if they are making more, thanks shaun

Its not necessarily the tabs that can't handle it. Its the other parts. I had only the 12" long tabs on my 26' Sonic, and came down and basically tripped on wave with JUST the SB trim tab. It blew out one of the ferrulls (nuts) that hold the plastic hoses to the pump. That made a AWFUL mess in the bilge. (Think of a splatter paint job with hydraulic fluid). The tab was fine, although I thought I had ripped it off until I made it to the ramp.

If you increase the size of the tab, you are going to increase the likelihood of the above happening.

That said, give Bennett a call, and speak to MJ Thomas. He actually posts on OSO on occasion as "trimtabman" or similar. Bennett replaced my 12" tabs due to corrosion, and I paid for the upgrade to 16" tabs. It is an easy swap.
