Boat cover waterproofing
I just cleaned my full boat cover and it needs to be retreated. Any suggestions on what to use?
Sunbrella recommends 303 High Tech Fabric Guard. What about the West marine waterproofing & fabric treatment with PTEF? With Teflon? Star Brite waterproofing? What is your experience and what works best. |
I have used the West and Star Bright which appear to be the same. Good results with both. I am under cover though and only get some driving rain during storms. $42 and $45 a gallon - just bought a gallon last week. Goodluck

I used the West Marine stuff on my cockpit cover and the water just beads up and rolls right off.

I've heard of a lot of people using Thompsons Water Seal--yeah the deck stuff. I've never tried it myself though.

I use 303 with good results.
