So now that I "think" ive figured out the problem, I cant seem to get the tapered insert out. It insert is more or less melted and deformed. Ive been picking at it and cant seem to get it to budge. I removed the outdrive and and tried pulling on the hose but still nothing. BTW... the one on the outside looks good. Any tips or tricks for removing a hose with melted insert? Im not even sure I could get a right angle drill in there to drill it out....Been picking at it off and on for a few hours now.

Thought I would throw and update in.......I replaced the transom hose and the two tappered inserts. ( had to take a right angle grinder to the inner insert, in order to remove it.). Boat pumps a ton more water. Took it out today and with no stat it never touched 140 degrees. Probably going to put the stat back in. Anyway, just wanted to thank everyone for their help!!! :ernaehrung004:
