502 ho cam specs?
 
built a 489ci bbc with a comp xm 270 cam 510 510 lift 270 duration, cam is too weak, would a 502ho cam be any more aggressive?

call ultradyne and talk to Tim golsbe he's the man they did all the cam engineering in the 80's for mercruiser big block and small block chevys

Or you can call RMBuilder"/Bob Madara of Marine Kinetics in N.Y. and have him do a custom cam profile for YOUR application. He has done many cam profiles for guys on here over the years and his pricing is very competitive. 585-654-8583

The 502HO came with the 500hp cam which from what I can find ran:

Lift Intake .5

Lift Exhaust .614

Duration @.050 Intake 2 Degrees

Duration @.050 Exhaust 230 Degrees

in other words, a fairly hefty, if not simple cam. (read Crane 731 - 741).

I'm going to run a 741 in a 454 Gen VI so a 502 should be easily able to cope!

try Crane #168731 fair idle makes power to 5300 rpm.
