trying for more mph

Hello,

I have a 2002 29 outlaw sst with twin 496 mags and im trying to reach 80.

I read about a tune that whipple industries has that is suppose to yield 10%more hp and then i was considering gettin some headers. My question is would this help me reach my goal of 80. If I get the extra 30 from the tune and 60 from the headers that should put me around 475 per motor is this possible.

Thanks in advance

Phill

U can not make a BAJA FAST !!!!!!!!!!!!:grinser010:

Could not resist ,,sorry !! LOL

No ,,,u can't count your HP like that ,,,to gain any kind of power the stuff need's to match !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would take it to a good engine builder and have it tuned up ,,or sell the engine and buy a nice 650 HP motor !!!!!

That way u know u will get there and what u have !!!!

30 Outlaws with 496 HO's run right at 80-81mph. I've been told they also get rather squirly around 80mph. The bottom is the basically the same as a 29 OL.
How fast are you now??? I would guess 75-76mph. Are your props labbed??? That might be good for 2mph or more.

I dont have labbed props and im currently running 72gps with the props spinning outward

HP500's in my 98' 29 would run low 80's

I dont think you can get there from here with
the reg 496's and those mods.....add the 496 HO cam,
ecu and the mods and it should easily do it.
