Gaffrig Gauges

1 Attachment(s)
I have a bunch of Gaffrig gauges in my dash and the lenses in them are really hazed. I called Gaffrig and all they said they could do was sell me some new gauges. I am sure you can put new lenses in them just not sure where to go if the Manufacturor doesnt really offer much help. Anyone else delt with this or know another place that moght be of some help. I would like to send them all out and get cleaned up etc. They all work great just need new lenses.

Thanks

Those are Gaffrig Precision Instrument AKA Livorsi Gauges. You need to call Livorsi.

Also, if you keep an eye on ebay, they often pop up for pretty cheap for good used ones.

Call Livorsi (877)548-5900 or if I can help you let me know at [email protected]

They can replace the lenses for a cost and i can help you with the cost a little.

How did they get that bad? Have you tried plastic polish?

Thanks for the help. I made the mistake of getting a black cover made for my boat. BIG mistake ad the inside gets so hot that it burned the headrests on My bolsters. If you can repair these Elite I will send them off to you.

Send me an an email with the list of gauges and sizes, I'll get you the price first. I will do it at cost to help.

You can polish them. I took mine out (worse than yours) and buffed on the buffing wheel at work. The only problem is you can't push hard or you will burn the acrylic lens.

Or take them out and take them to a local plastic shop that does custom acrylic or polycarb and they can buff them out for you. It took me 45 seconds/gauge.

Also if you have the plastic lenses you can use a headlight restore kit from most auto stores.

I realize this is an old thread, but does anyone know if a dremel tool with a buffing wheel and the headlight restore kit is sufficient or too aggressive?
