Painting/Coating Water Jackets

I keep reading references to painting or somehow coating water jackets on marine engines to prevent corrosion on cylinder liners. Has anyone done this? What kind of paint should I use and how do I apply it?

Thanks, Randy

Are you refering to Aluminum or Cast heads?

Iron. These are 468's with Merlin Iron heads. Thanks! Randy

Iron heads should be fine, even in salt water, if they are flushed well.
