Painting TRS Components

Getting ready to paint the inner/outer transom assembly and the drive.

Does Mercury have a special paint?

IF NOT

Can i use paint from my paint n body shop to perform the task-PPG?

Will it hold up to the water or do i need some special paint?

I am getting ready to sell them and want to keep the costs down.

Thanks SHU

A can of Rustoleum Gloss Black Enamel will work just fine. Mercury does have cans of paint but it's the same thing. Just cost more!! The trick is to get it good and clean before painting. I guess you know that though if you have a body shop. That PPG should work just fine too if you feel like mixing it and cleaning your gun.

If your selling like mentioned the easier the better. But for something your going to keep Imron and a good zinc primer holds up great on outdrive parts.
