help....I have the same Hatch Actuator (saej1171) my motor is fine. The center gear has a couple teeth that are broken and it gets stuck when down sometimes. Does anyone have a center gear they want to sell? Get back to me, Thanks

CP Performance sells them. The entire assembly. You need to know what your unit is regarding extended stroke and what it is in the relaxed position. I think you measure from the center of the bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole ?????They have them available with stainless steel covers, nice but a little pricy.
Typically the actuators get corroded internally, if you take them apart, lube up the gears and motor you should be fine. But what we all do is hit the button it works then does not work and we keep playing with it. What happens there is a little set of contacts inside of the motor that release if the hatch is stuck. If you keep hitting it the set of contacts gets fried and no longer make a good contact. Now you have to the the new assembly.
Post what you end up doing.
