First couple times I used a syringe to suck it out. When I had them rebuilt I had DMPE add drain plugs. Made life much easier.

how small of a hose did you have on it? my vacula has a small enough hose to go down the engine dipstick tube but wont go down the blower hole. it is hard plastic hose.

Take it off - 7 nuts - and turn it upside down for a while, then re-fill.
Sounds harder than it really is. Easy job! |

I do it every other year...just like sea pump impellers. Isn't yours an 02' ?....if so, you have to change the fluid in the rear housing too. |

sorry, but there has got to be a better way to do it. that can't be how it was designed. if that is the case then you shouldnt ever have to change the fluid, right?
Gasket usually survives and is fine for re-use. |
ok i'll get it done. really piss poor design. sounds like a drill and drain plug is the way to go. thanx guys! Tony
