Merc Trim pump Problems

I just re-installed my alpha and trim cylinders. Everything was completely drained.

The trim pump won't pump. I have it filled with oil, the hoses are currently disconnected just to test it. It makes a whine noise when I hit the switch but nothing comes out. Is there a trick to getting this thing primed?

OLYSAN,i just had the same thing,i replaced the lines from the pump all the way back.the pump is high pressure, low volume,it takes a while to get the oil threw the lines, keep trying,it worked for me.:coolcowboy:

Thanks for the reply Mike. I disconnected the lines at the pump just so I could see if it was pumping anything, and it's not. I would expect to see something there pretty much immediately. ??
