Roller 489 Carb

About to take delivery of upgraded engine. Fresh 489 roller with cam built by RMbuilder, 188 heads. Like every other project I'm way over budget as it is. Given I'm going from a worn out 330hp 7.4 with 3 collapsed springs/comp gone, Can I just bolt the 6269318 rect hi rise gm intake with the Qjet back on to get me back on the water for now? The Qjet has a tag on the front which says "454 MAG A" on the front. Should I at least swap to richer metering rods on the back? I have a Dart single plane intake , but laying down an addl $650 for 9022 carb, adapters, throttle linkages, adapters. Not trying to win any poker runs here.

This is on an 89 Chaparral 2550 SX Bravo one.

the 330 would have been oval port so if thats where the intake is coming from, no would not work well at all, I would run the factory rect port high rise w/ a 750-800 holley, I have a intake if you need one...Rob
