Power Steering Pump question

I need to replace my pwr steering pump on my '96 Gen VI 502. Can I buy a new automovtive pump or do I have to buy one for marine use? All help/advise appreciated.

I've used an automotive unit with no problems. I had several laying around from a Chevy suburban. They were identical to one on my gen VI engine.

there is a valve with a certain orfice size in your pump.I would put the old one in the new pump.theres a thread on it here somewhere.

Summit racing has the stock Gm pump with tank for around 60 bucks.

yes, just change over the pressure regulator where the high pressure line connects, it's under the fitting and the spring as well....
