Swapping 454 MAG Balancer to 7.4L 330 HP?

Hi all

My '88 454 MAG lost a cam lobe and to save the season I am swapping it for a 330 HP 7.4L First Mate reman longblock. I'm in Switzerland and it's the only thing I came across fast...I'll rebuild the MAG over the winter months.

Now my question is:
Can the harmonic damper and pulleys be swapped over?

The flywheel is the same Part# for both Engines, while the balancer is different. Also in the Merc drawings the MAG balancer seems to have a pulley attached?

I doubt any body has EVER pulled a MAG for a 7.4 but I'm sure someone knows about pulleys and balancers...

your help is appreciated

I'm no expert by far but I would assume that if the flywheels are the same pn# that would mean that they are both external balanced engines. I would also assume the pn#s for the balancers are different due to the pulley you are speaking of which I am unfamiliar with. I would also assume that even though the balancers are different they should both be weighted the same and should be interchangable. Just my guess.
