hate to say it but my money is on a rotten transom.

MILD THUNDER 05-30-2015 09:49 PM

Very well could be a rotted transom ...sealed up fine when it was first resealed. After u ran it, transom flexed enough to break the new seal, and leaking again? Just a guess

sutphen 30 05-30-2015 09:59 PM

you sure the seal around the pin is holding?I've seen quite a few transom assemblies that were corroded real bad in that area.and if thats not it,I second the soft transom.

some of us are a little slow, lol.

I wonder if he figured it out lol. It very well could have still been the swivel pin seal. In the bore for the swivel pin and seal, when the transom assemblies were first assembled they staked over 3 spots, so when you change the seal you have to not only clean out all the corrosion but also shave down these stakes or when you slide the new seal in can tear the seal and create a leak.
