Volvo to Mercuiser

Anyone ever changed from a Volvo to a Mercuiser? I’m thinking of removing a 4.3 Volvo and replacing with a 5.7 merc. any problem with the wiring, linkage, or anything i'm not thinking of.

Umm. i have a buddy that got a larson rigged for aa merc and installed volvo. its a 2003 and he just used that sealant to plug the two top holes for the mercruiser transom assy and the rest of it all fit. so i would think it would fit the other way around. but thats just one boat. and i am not 100% on everything he did. also, i installed a volvo fit 4.3 in a bayliner with a merc. just transfered all the merc stuff over. all was good.
