Tailpipe problems

I wonder how long the tailpipe , after the collector must be before you make it "wet" ??? The engine is a 525efi with stock CMI`s ....

As far back as possible. The farther back the better. Outside the boat if possible. How loud can you stand it?

Its water jacketed. It can be dry all the way out with the correct tails.
