Which oil filter for my 454?

I have a 1989 Mercrusier 454 and I think it may not have the correct oil filer on it. Currently it has a WIX 57099 mounted to a remote oil filter bracket. Should I replace it and use the same model or should it be somthing different?

Looks like you have the correct one:

STP has a bigger filter then the standard GM size. I think it is an STP 3376. Just my two cents

I'm running a mercruiser on my BBC. I asked a buddy about maybe changing brands and he said I was better off staying with the mercruiser because they have higher flow volume. Does "anyone in the KNOW" have knowledge about this? I would like to hear some smarts on "which" filter and "why".
Thanks...TS27:drink:
