Big Block Chevy Motor Test.

We are floor testing a big block chevy motor prior to installation.
Question" What problems has anyone run into, running a garden hose directly connected to the sea water inlet hose??
Keeping in mind the pump is seeing full in line water presure of approximately 75 psi
Thanks in advance for your reply !

Just run the water hose into a large bucket or barrel and run a hose from the inlet on the sea water pump into the barrel and set the hose water flow to match the sea pump draw on the barrel. Not a good idea to hit the sea pump with 75psi water pressure.

I wouldnt think the house water hose would flow enough to maintain the 75psi thru the 1 1/4 inlet hose to the pump.

On my Hustler it has a flush system that ya hook the hose to before the seastrainer, with it wide open its barely putting enough water in there to supply the motor.

Thats a Good idear Ray:drink:
