Gen6 509 build, hyd roller, 764hp, 732tq
I'm re-posting this here. I posted in the general Q&A section, but no one else seems to be albe to see it excpet me. I thought it would be an interesting build...shows the torque potential of something like this with a hyd roller. The cam could be shortened up and bring peak power down some for marine use, but all in all, this is an awesome combination.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ Just got back from the Vrbancic Brother's dyno today with some real nice results. This is for a car, but with the installation of a marine oil pan, a little less compresison and timing, and this would be an honest 740hp/700+lb ft. pump gas 509. It made 746hp @ 6100 and 720ft lbs @ 4800 at 32 degrees total timing....a loss of 18hp and 12ft lbs on the race gas. Gen6 509 4.5 bore x 4.0 str.
