trim tab gauges

I hope I am in the right forum.
Thinking about getting a Insta Trim Tab 200 Indicator gauge from TEAMBAJA but I don't know how much work it would be to do it. My boat is a 79' Scarab 300 never had trim tab gauge on it. How much work will it be? The gauges have plugs on the back of them. Any info please Thanks in advance

I assume you will be getting the full kit; dash gauge, wiring, and 2 senders that clamp onto the trim tab rams?

I replaced my '94 era non working set with a new set 2 yrs ago, $260 for the complete outfit. Piece of cake to either add to or replace an existing older setup. The older ones had 2 sets of wires (1 from each trim tab) going to the gauge, new style has a single wire plug. The parts are non interchangeable between models. The senders just clamp onto the rams, and a wire is ran from each sender along with the hyd hose hole, and connect to a junction inside the transom. Then a single wire runs to the gauge, where it just plugs in. You may have to install the pickup washer inside the rams for the sender to read location. Not hard either, Just unscrew the bottom of ram and install the washer inside.
Look up Insta Trim, or Boat Leveler for detailed instructions.
