great looking job....if you are running in salt down there...better look into closed cooling or those heads/intake won't last long...

Check that...negative on Memorial weekend. I just remembered that's the weekend the "alternative lifestyle" folks take over the panhandle.

Definitely a nice rig & i'll be curious to hear what you get out of her with the right prop. I'd think upper 80's to low 90's should be feasible...? I have a buddy up here on Lake Norman that had a 27' Fountain with an 800hp+ blower motor and he says it gets real squirly around 90mph

We'll be in Destin for the Emerald Coast FPC run, but thinking about coming down for Memorial weekend or Blue Angels to visit my Mom and bring the boat. We'll have to hook up & run together if we do.
I'll be in Destin also for the FPC run. Blue Angels is a great weekend.

Skip M-Day in Pensacola, Hit Orange Beach.

I'm hoping for 80mph. I'd be happy with that. I'll have it in the water this coming weekend. I post my results.

Nice set up, our 27' starts getting squirrely around 78-80 but it comes out of it after that if you want to push it, it gets to be a real hand full. Best of luck on your new ride.

Update:

Worked all Day & Night on Friday & Saturday to get it in the water for Sunday. Found myself at a NO GO point. The CMI Headers needed a 5" Clamp, CMI sent me 4" ones, couldnt bolt up the tails at all. Couldnt even test run it, THAT SUCKED! Should have the clamps on Tuesday. I'll have it on the hose ASAP!!!!

Nice build! I was running a set of AFR 265's and one of Bob's cams in my last engine. I think you'll be real close to your HP goals. The 290 heads are awesome as are Bob's cams!
