speedo not working
 

Bought the boat last yr and its the only thing that dosent work. Any ideas boat is a 94 29ft scarab with twin 350 and alpha one gen 5 outdrive?

Does it have a gps speedo or a pitot style one that has a tube down in the water, or a paddle wheel style?

Check the speedo pickup hole for blockage. Should be able to stick a paper clip in the hole no problem.
Or check the tube connector when you raise the drive fully up. Gotta determine which drive they are using for the speedo thou. Unhook the hose at the speedo and see if you can blow air backwards thru the tube.

BTW, it a Gen 2 :)

That's what I ment gen2 sorry typo, yeah has tube down in water. I will check some of that stuff out when I get in the boat next time.

I used to use a small drill bit to get the wood out of the drive pitot. Wanna go faster? Drill it larger.

heck, run a 1 inch heater hose to the speedo. you will break the sound barrier!
